Villa Minerva is an enchanting present-day architecture, sober and essential, elegantly furnished. A fine private home built in the 60s by the Neapolitan ship-owner Achille Lauro who dedicated it to his wife.Not far from the town center in Sorrento, it is a beautiful residence for a holiday in harness with nature, tradition and culture.
At the same moment it is also the ideal place for organizing ceremonies and weddings, in one of the most beautiful locations of the Sorrentine Peninsula, with a surprising scenery.
Villa Minerva offers two different types of rooms: deluxe suites and comforts suites, both with high quality standards, which are able to meet the needs of every guest, in fact all are equipped with:

-Shower tub with Jacuzzi water massage
All of the bedrooms are equipped with TV (flat screen), air-conditioning, cable radio, fridge-bar, and a high-speed internet connection. Wireless internet is available in the garden and round the pool (the use of internet is available by buying a card).
There is air-conditioning in the living-rooms too. A pay laundry service is available on request. The kitchen may only be used by the staff of the villa, with the cost to be paid during the stay. This is a private, independent villa, but prices and surface area change according to the number of people.
Villa Minerva is available with 12 bedrooms for 24 people.

Floor Below: (access via lift or the external courtyard) professional kitchen for the exclusive use of the staff of the villa (one part of the kitchen is available for the use of guests, consisting of: microwave oven, toaster, fridge, coffee machine, 2 electric hobs); 1 double bedroom with small terrace and bathroom with shower; 1 double bedroom with bathroom.

Each room is tastefully furnished, recalling those that are the main features between the locations of the peninsula, in fact each room is named after a town present on the coast, Capri, Ischia, Sorrento and Vesuvius Suite.
Moreover the suites are decorated with the colorful ceramics of Vietri, and will be able to stroll on the vast terraces that surround the swimming pool and offer a very enchanting view of the Gulf of Naples and its islands, giving the visitor a moment of total harmony and well-being.
The asymmetric swimming-pool (23x14m) has been made with the water touching at ground level and has a hydromassage area, and is crossed by a bridge meant to give you to sensation of projection towards the sea and the view.
The ample terraces are furnished with deckchairs and sunshades. The swimming pool is open from May to October (depending on weather condition) from 8.00 am until 8 pm. The access to the swimming pool is denied to children younger than age 10 or lower without the adult supervision. Access is forbidden during and after the wedding reception for safety reasons.
Finally, for even more relaxing, the guests of Villa Minerva will have the opportunity to a leisurely stroll in the charming garden that the villa offers.
Villa Minerva is in a privileged position, on the hills of Sorrento, a city with a modern soul and ancient history, a stone’s throw away from Massa Lubrense, Minerva’s old promontory, with its citrus and olive trees goes down to the limpid sea of Punta Campanella as if it wanted to reach the near island of Capri. Still in the near distance there are Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, ravishing places that have charmed voyager from all times.
Villa Minerva lies just a few kilometres from Sorrento and is a particularly high quality villa with refined fittings and luxurious, spacious bedrooms worthy of the most demanding guests. The recent renovation has restored the villa to its original splendour. Due to its special position, lying on the ridge of a hill that dominates the entire Gulf of Naples, the villa enjoys a panoramic view through 180 degrees from Naples to Vesuvius and on to Capri giving the sensation of being on a transatlantic ship, which was probably the inspiration behind the ideas of the architect who designed it.
The villa is always caressed by sea breezes and there is absolute tranquillity and privacy here: the romantic sunsets are sure to be remembered. It stands in a strategic position for visits to all the best-known sightseeing and cultural visits, from Naples to Positano and Pompei. Sorrento is the gem of the coast, a hospitable and cheerful town that invites you to peaceful strolls with its alleys full of distinctive shops and craftsmen workshops and its main road full of cafés, restaurants, ice cream shops and pubs which will gladden the summer evenings of the visitors, together with a number of festivals and cultural events.
Not far from Sorrento there are Massa Lubrense, known as the “Land of the Mermaids” and Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, an intriguing location that overlooks both the gulfs of Naples and Salerno.
